Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all services provided by York House Group, trading as YHG Web ("we", "us", "our"), to our clients ("you", "your"). By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

We provide:

• Basic website builds (fixed price, as quoted)
• Custom / bespoke website builds (individually priced)
• Custom web software (individually priced)
• Ongoing website management plans (Standard and Enhanced, billed monthly)
• Optional add-ons (such as professional email hosting), billed monthly
• SEO setup as part of our standard build process

• One-off build fees are payable as agreed at the point of order, typically before or upon completion of the build.
• Monthly management fees are collected via Direct Debit through GoCardless on a recurring monthly basis, starting from the date your website goes live (or as otherwise agreed).
• Prices for custom / bespoke work and custom software are agreed individually before work begins.
• We reserve the right to amend our standard pricing with reasonable notice; any changes will not apply retroactively to agreed fixed-price work already underway.

• Standard Management (£50/month) includes hosting, domain provision, security updates, and 2–3 content changes per month, actioned within 5 working days of request.
• Enhanced Management (£100/month) includes all of the above plus 4–5 changes per month, actioned within 24 hours of request.
• Unused changes do not roll over to the following month.
• Change requests must be reasonable in scope; requests significantly beyond routine content changes (e.g. new page builds, major redesigns) may be quoted separately.

• Where a domain is provided as part of our hosting service, we register and manage the domain on your behalf for the duration of your active management plan.
• If you cancel your management plan, we will transfer the domain to you or your new provider upon request, subject to standard domain transfer processes and any applicable transfer fees from the domain registrar.
• We are not liable for any service interruption caused by issues outside our reasonable control (e.g. domain registry outages).

• Monthly management plans can be cancelled with 30 days' written notice to team@yhgweb.co.uk.
• Upon cancellation, hosting and ongoing changes will cease at the end of the final paid billing period.
• One-off build fees are non-refundable once work has commenced, except where required by law.

• Upon full payment of build fees, you own the final website design and content created specifically for you.
• We retain ownership of any underlying tools, templates, or reusable code frameworks used in the build process.
• We may showcase completed websites in our own portfolio and marketing materials unless you request otherwise in writing.

• We aim to provide a reliable, secure service but do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime or that the website will be completely error-free.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of our services, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for matters that cannot legally be excluded, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
